Who We Are
About Our Mission
Heart for ENC was founded by a group of community leaders that felt led by God to come alongside local nonprofit and faith-based organizations to help them in their efforts to impact our community. We seek to support their missions through providing capacity building training and resources, working to grow their connections with each other and the broader community, and creating engagement opportunities that foster collaboration. We believe we are much better together and are striving to build a community of organizations that works collaboratively to grow their reach and deepen their impact.

Lenore Legere
Operations Coordinator
Lenore joins Heart for ENC serving as Operations Coordinator. Prior to working at Heart for ENC, she was Program Coordinator with Eastern AHEC, Mental Health Department and before EAHEC she served as Client Services Director with the Carolina Pregnancy Center. Lenore received her BA in Christian Psychology/Counseling and is an active volunteer with the Crisis Text Line.
Outside of office hours, you’ll find her playing in her vegetable, herb and flower gardens, or sitting outside enjoying the quiet country evenings, except for when the humidity and temperatures are way too high, then you’ll find her hibernating inside. Lenore enjoys painting, traveling, and visiting family and friends near and far.
Fun Fact: Back in the day as a young waitress, she served legendary Boston Bruins defenseman hockey player Bobby Orr at a marina restaurant located on Lake Simcoe, Ontario, Canada.
